NO REHASHING!!!

Do you rehash what everyone else is saying, or do you have a unique voice?

One of the things that makes a blog special is the personality that people bring to it. Most bloggers are not trained journalists, but just people who enjoy writing or sharing thoughts and ideas. Blogs allow you a sneak peek into somebody else’s life, or a perspective you may not have thought of.

One of the things I see often is a popular blog being copycatted over and over again. People see that a particular blog is successful, so they think if they follow that same pattern, they will be too. The problem is, they are trying to emulate and use the voice of the other person, because they want to sound like them. People recognize that, and it’s a turn off. Why do I want to read copy blogs B, C, and D, when I all ready am enjoying blog A, if they are all telling me the same things.

People want to hear what YOU have to say. Say it in your voice, and people will return. Your unique voice is your edge, and many people don’t get that. We’re each unique and have our own spin on things. Don’t be a copycat, be a cool cat, and say it your way.
